Coveo is yet anoter boolean type search engine, like if the world needs another. Look at IBM and Yaho’s search if you want boolean. There are also plenty of freeware.

IBM and Yahoo based their product on a java open source crawler. When you need performances and quick computation through a file system, I don’t think that java is the right option. Also, Coveo was built to integrate easily into a Microsoft environment and respect it’s security layer. I’m not sure Omnifind does that job as well as Coveo does.
Please take a moment to deploy both applications and browse through all of the configuration possibilies offered by Coveo, you’ll see that Omnifind is way far behind. I am absolutely sure that benchmarks would also be better with Coveo’s Enterprise Search.
These guys know the market and have no reason to be afraid of Omnifind or other competitors in the Enterprise Search industry for Microsoft environments.
